We specialise in the area of Building Code compliance for new and existing buildings in the property and construction industry. We provide accurate, comprehensive Building Code assessments for architects, project managers, developers, property owners, professional builders and Government Authorities.

As Directors of the firm, David Cooley and Richard Attiwell have combined their skills to create a benchmark business partnership within the field of Building Code Compliance. Together they have amassed over 30 years of experience within the building surveying profession, both at home and overseas, in the private and public sectors, and across a broad range of building types.

David's expertise is in practical technical advice on the Building Code of Australia, fire safety engineering and project coordination on large and small commercial developments. His experience comes from working in the private sector with a cost consultancy firm as an Associate Director, and also with State and Local Government levels. In the local government sector he has worked at the City of Perth, Cottesloe and North Sydney. In the state government sector David worked as part of the Building Regulation team with the Olympic Coordination Authority at the Sydney 2000 Games.

Richard has over 15 years of experience as a Building Surveyor with construction experience ranging from single residential developments through to inner-city high rise buildings. His qualifications include an Honours degree in Building Surveying and a Diploma in Building. Richard is a specialist in the behaviour of building materials and diagnosing building defects. He has also worked as a Local Government building surveyor in Western Australia for ten years and is very competent in assessing buildings for compliance with the Building Code of Australia and Australian Standards.
